Dear Friend,
How are you doing?
This woman wants me to…
I’m sure the question on your mind is “which woman?”
I believe you even know the woman but I will reveal her in no time.
But let me tell you a story first…
Back then in 2003, my remarried. Yes, to my ‘step father’.
My dad had died about 8 years before that time.
Even though my mum was a tailor and had a small shop, she couldn’t afford to take care of us.
Of course, she was solely responsible for all my education and other things at the time.
Maybe she was also lonely, I couldn’t say.
But my mum remarried.
A year later, precisely on the 10th of January, 2004 (that’s 18 years ago), my mum gave birth to a bouncing baby boy.
BUT again, she died.
All those happened while I was in Jalingo, Taraba state.
My siblings and I were moved back to Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state (our hometown).
For the first time, I went to farm, I hawked on the street and cut grasses for people so as to fend for myself.
Anyways, this story is NOT about me.
It’s about the woman I told you in my second paragraph.
And like I said, you know the woman, Dear Friend.
The woman is your sister, your mother and every woman around you.
The woman wants me to respect and care for her.
Also, she wants you to respect and care for her.
She wants to be supported to achieve whatever she dreams of — either it’s been a lawyer, doctor, fashion designer, pilot or even an affiliate marketer.
Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world.
She wants a world without bias.
She wants a situation that when her husband is late (like my mother), she would be able to take good care of herself and children.
